Saw you Monday night at Friends in Austin; Didn't catch you the last time you were in Amarillo but I damn sure will the next time your in town!

We saw Ms. Denise for the first time last Wednesday night at Casbeers in San Antonio. Her first few riffs had everyone sitting up and paying attention. I can't tell you how many times I heard someone say "Oh s**t!" It turned out that Ms. Denise plays weekly at Friends in Austin. From our side of town, that's about a 90 minute drive. But we prepped our thermos of coffee for the the ride home, and headed up for her show last night. It was worth the trip, including the construction traffic and the current price of gasoline. We sat right in front, facing 6th Street. It was a beautiful night, with crowds of people strolling by. Throughout Catherine's set, I watched person after person, planning to walk right by, but heard her playing. They stopped, looked around, saw Catherine and were drawn in. I know exactly how they felt. I have a new guitar hero!

I'm in a 2-person band out of St. Louis. I was browsing through the Austin Blues Society, and thought I'd checked out your web site. I'm glad I did, great site. Don't know when we'll get that way, but I'll sure tell my friends in Houston that they need to catch your act on their next trip to Austin.
